Seriously, stop calling it an "email ID", or even worse, a "mail ID". It's an *email address*. In "[email protected]", for example, an email "ID" would simply be "id"—a largely useless identifier on its own. Just like in mail addresses where a person's name + location together form an "address", a user's ID or username + domain (location) together form an "email address". It's really amazing how much nonsense goes around, even in professional circles, in India.

@JioCare The phone numbers programmed into Jio SIMs are incorrectly set up without the leading + sign before the country code, confusing phones and leading to a host of issues, such as autofill fields not working properly.

For example, it thinks everything including the "91" is the phone number instead of the latter just being a country code, and it autofills phone number fields in apps & websites with a randomly generated country code on top of the whole thing; e.g, "+34 91 xxxxx xxxxx".

It's frankly mind-boggling that a company as large as Jio is making such mistakes, and that too on such a basic and technical level. Please fix this ASAP (see the other phone number listed as an example); I can only imagine how many others are going through this problem.

While it works for your witty quip, it doesn't make much sense. People really need to stop using this terminology incorrectly. You mean developing or underdeveloped.
