So many TF2 fans showed up to mcm Comic Con London for the voice actors today that staff literally didn’t know what to do.

So many people think this game is dead and there are going to be even more tomorrow omfg

>Be Popcap
>Announce a remaster of one of your most beloved games
>Contact none of the original devs
>Use AI upscaling
>Announce a costume feature and only show two costumes
>Make up concept art that didn't even exist
>5x the price of the original

This series is so fucked.

『METAL SLUG 3』

Here is President Marx from METAL SLUG 3.

Characters like this, created purely for a bit of fun, were always drawn whenever the idea struck me, so I never actually had any time set aside for them in the schedule.
In the middle of a busy day…

“Oh, I just came up with a great little gag!”

Once the image popped into my head, there was no stopping it.
I would try to finish my current tasks ahead of time just to squeeze out a little room to work on the gag, and that alone was already a real struggle.

Even though there was never really any room to spend time on characters that weren’t essential to the game, once an idea came to me, I just couldn’t hold back from drawing it.
As a result, I often ended up putting too much effort into these little gags and cutting corners here and there on the more important characters.

During those long days of being practically locked up at work, creating these little gags was truly fun for me, and I always felt like I could just keep drawing them forever.
I especially enjoyed slipping in longer skits that would make the staff laugh, and I had fun secretly adding them into the game.
Looking at it now, the animation feels a little rough, but considering how harsh the schedule was back then, I almost want to praise myself for making him move around so unnecessarily.
What made me a little sad back then was that during the location test, nobody ever seemed to notice this president at all.
If I was lucky, I hoped that players might get distracted by the SPs teleporting in, take a hit from enemy fire, and end up continuing because of it.
Always there, yet never noticed…

In a way, this President Marx ended up becoming a sort of Easter-egg style gag.
