I'm currently at Burning Man, knees deep in dust and dust deep in another dimension.
I’ll be returning to my desk Tuesday, September 5th.
Getting my inbox to zero will be harder than getting the dust off my hair, so it might take me a few days to get to you.

Our founding story:
Last year, our team started creating immersive art and music experiences in Toronto.
In six months, we hosted three events that brought together some of the most talented artists and successful entrepreneurs in the city.
Areas of caution:
- Beware of research + analysis to make good decisions vs. research + analysis to avoid making decisions
- Commitment bias: sprinting doesn't mean you can't change your mind. It means you commit to that path until your mind is changed (by compelling evidence.)
I like moving fast and breaking things just as much as the next guy, but when you're bootstrapped and pre-revenue, breaking things is expensive.
This is not as sexy of a catchphrase, but a principle I've been playing with is:
Start slow, finish fast.
Areas of strength:
- Time to investigate increases chances of finding the path with biggest upside
- Time to analyze + map out possible outcomes mitigates risks of making a costly decision
- Sprinting after decision-making prevents overthinking and paralysis
