I once commissioned a half body piece… and got a bust shot instead.
So I politely asked the artist, why
And they replied: “Because I hate you.”

We had never spoken before.
No past drama.
No beef.
I just materialized in their inbox with money and apparently became their enemy.

Back then you needed to EARN the title of "P" from fans & it wasn't something you can call yourself from the get go.

[ASTRO @ASTROPHIMA]

the whole entire appeal of vocaloid is the fact that it's man-made and if you use AI for that then you don't deserve to call yourself a vocaP

kikuo is one of the OGs despite not learning music theory,
gigaP started with remixes and vocaloid covers,
etc

To the artists: clients should NOT beg you for updates, it should be common sense to update them with every step like sketch, base colors, etc. until you finish the art, if delays occur or life intervenes communication is key and counts as an update as well.
