@1800wxbrief You may or may not know about this, but your website is showing as down for me this morning. You might let your webmasters know the cert chain isn't working correctly.
@Sir_Solitaire @twatbrillig @SprintingOwl @DThaumavore Huzzah! I hope it works for your group. It's more crunchy than I might like, but I love that it has rules specifically for RP and relationships. It looks like a cool system.
@Sir_Solitaire @twatbrillig @SprintingOwl @DThaumavore ...may effectively become "required." And that's kind of true: rules mods in eg Tasha's are useful, and arguably make the game better. But given the many iterations/versions, it's frustrating they didn't do better to start with.
@Sir_Solitaire @twatbrillig @SprintingOwl @DThaumavore ...but they're not required. I think DnD is multiple required books because it started out that way (easier to put out smaller books as you go), but it's also more profitable when your audience *has* to buy more than one; it also sets up the expectation that new books...
@ThisIsVictor@SprintingOwl People who are excited about other games seek them out, but everyone else gets the impression of a monoculture of DnD that's self-sustaining.
@ThisIsVictor@SprintingOwl Talking to my FLGS recently about game diversity: "we used to carry more games, but they just didn't sell." There's an aspect of positive feedback loop to the problem. DnD sells, so it gets restocked, so all anyone sees is DnD on the shelf.
@GMdragonkelly I'm only partway through reading the rules, but #BlueRoseRPG is notable to me for having crunch related to RP and capital-R Relationships as well as combat. I'm excited to see a system that devotes a greater % of rules energy into non-combat activities.
Nothing like finding a bit of costume jewelry to make playing your #dnd character that little bit more tangible. Coming soon: a ring my character acquired while blushing heavily around a gorgeous jeweler/information broker named Rosamund.
@itsginnydi Oh my no, spooky Ginny is also awesome! ❤️❤️❤️ Haters be hexed. (Somehow, there is no pentagram emoji; please insert it here WITH YOUR MIND)
@doctorow I've had excellent luck talking to real estate agents about things like this. They have to deal with real contractors often, and know who does good work without overcharging. But yes, online searches are essentially worthless at this point.
I'm not sure which Twitter algorithm decided to show this to me ("Arts & Culture," really?), but now that I've seen it, I feel that I would be remiss if I didn't bring it to @erikaishii 's attention.
