Four personnel who were part of the resupply mission were injured when two China Coastguard vessels water cannoned Unaizah May 4 in an attempt to block it from resupplying naval post BRP Sierra Madre in the Philippines’ exclusive economic zone, March 5.

GMA Integrated News was onboard Philippine Coastguard’s (PCG) BRP Sindangan which was escorting the ship and got a first hand look at the latest aggressive move by China.

Earlier, a China Coast Guard vessel also collided with BRP Sindangan but PCG personnel were quick to put up fenders and avoided a major damage to Sindangan.

UM4 aborted the mission and returned to Palawan escorted by the Philippine Navy’s BRP Gregorio del Pilar and Sindangan.
