It’s Father’s Day today. 🩵

When I was in high school I was not easy.. put plainly… a disaster.
I was disrespectful , dishonest, and disobedient. My parents deserved a better daughter but my dad was always by my side even in my failure and sin, he never gave up. He was always loving, forgiving, and purposeful in his love for us kids.

Mom grounded me from the homecoming dance for my behavior in the 11th grade. I was very upset but of course deserved it. My dad dressed up and made a huge fancy dinner, put a table in my bedroom with a tablecloth and nice plates (even folded napkins). He told me to dress up and we had homecoming dinner just me and him… we talked about truth and the future, we talked about life/my goals and how much he loves me even though I make such terrible mistakes (sin)

I was still mad then that I didn’t get to go but at 44 years old I’m so thankful I didn’t!
I had parents that loved me enough to discipline me in the Lord. This was one of the most wonderful memories I had with my father growing up… Im so thankful for that night.

Happy Father’s Day Daddy! I love you!
