This wasn't theater. This was reality. I was, like a true patriot, encouraging my fellow citizens to be a part of the civic process and to vote. And they did! Along with millions and millions of people across this great nation. And boy, did they vote!

The likes of you, Ms Mekelburg, with the crude malevolent lies that you constantly spew, are the anomaly, and your hate and bigotry is not welcome here. Today, large segments of your politicians were voted out, and in the next elections the remaining ones will be voted out.

Clearly, you don't like the America we live in. You don't appreciate the democratic process nor do you accept its results. May I suggest you go to a country where you'd feel more at home, because life, liberty and the pursuit of freedom are not your cup of tea.

You, Ms. Mekleburg, would clearly prefer a country where religious freedoms are infringed; where minorities are demonized; where ethnocentric supremacist tendencies are normative and enable genocides. A fascist regime where your lies and slander would help your popularity would suit you better.

Clearly, since the America as it exists is so despised by you, for your own sanity may I suggest that you leave it. Perhaps the country that you fight for, and whose interests are essential to you, be your permanent abode?

Go to your promised land, and take your obnoxious hate-filled slanderous venom with you. We prefer to live in peace without your evil nature here.

As for me and millions of other American Muslims, let me reassure you of one thing:

We're not going anywhere.

This is our country. This is our home. And no amount of bigotry, intimidation, or manufactured outrage will change that.
