what a wild year so far, it honestly doesn’t even feel real. going from the lowest of my lows last year to now being the most financially secure i’ve ever been in my entire life. i think it’s time for me to take a step back from building for others and create something of my own
what’s something painfully annoying or tedious that you deal with every day—at work or in life?
that’s exactly where you start building.
take this example:
my doctor’s clinic portal was incredibly frustrating to log into and navigate. a few simple changes to the login flow and UI could have drastically improved the experience.
so i rebuilt their front end and shared it with them.
now they’re rolling it out across all 15+ of their clinics—and i landed a $10k/month retainer.
you don’t need to build the next big app.
just build things that work—and actually improve the user experience.
wild how people still think you need to invent something brand new to make money
i’ve been building “boring” tools that already have a market
same concept, better pricing, more focused features
turns out people just want stuff that works
first post here - looking for some advice: i’m getting a flood of work requests but can’t take on any new clients with my current workload. i recently quit my job after now hitting $10k+ months back to back and want to go all-in on this, so turning people away isn’t ideal. i also don’t want to outsource. i started building a custom ai agent to help, but hit some roadblocks. i wanted to ask if anyone here has suggestions or alternative solutions? this community seems super talented, so i’m hoping someone’s got a fresh idea to try, thank you in advance!
each day i’m learning something new to add onto my arsenal and it’s getting a bit scary how easy it’s becoming. now if only i could clone myself so that i can take on more projects.. how do i make myself into an AI? lol
where does the time go? i guess it’s true what they say; time flies when you’re having fun.
and by having fun, i mean locking yourself in your room and building out all the things you wished you could have before by simply ‘vibe coding’ (did i use that right?)
@PrajwalTomar_@lovable@cursor_ai just started getting into building with AI and have already built so many cool tools and sites, it’s amazing haha. bookmarking this to use for my next project, thanks for sharing
in the last month i’ve built so many small and random tools and apps for random individuals and paid off my rent and bills lol what is life right now? this ai stuff is literally a cheat code for life
this has completely taken over my day lol but people are really out here building fullly functional apps and sites using only AI while having zero coding knowledge?
the first 20 hrs was learning the ins and outs of all these tools and stuff, learning the do’s and don’ts.. and then i was able to pump up projects lol feels unrealistic
i cant remember the last time i was this interested in and excited about something new in so long, but this ai coding stuff is crazy lol in 24hrs i built a fully functional ios app, web app, and a telegram bot..
this has completely taken over my day lol but people are really out here building fullly functional apps and sites using only AI while having zero coding knowledge?
My work is so fulfilling right now. Have created so many relationships in my local community. Making friends, investing in them. Building something tangible. Would not trade it.
