Play to win not play safe and hope things fall favorable on our side. Feel bad for the Oranje Army. Sadly the joyful festive ended. America will miss you!
Senegalese footballer Kalidou Koulibaly gave a straightforward response to an American reporter recommending a nightclub:
I don't go anywhere outside of training and the mosque. We are Muslims nightclubbing is not part of our culture
Massive respect to him
#ESPCPV@FOXSportsHub hey African Teams are not here just for the joy to be here. @FOXSoccer Fox Sports desk predicting avalanche of goals. Very disrespectful 😔. Do more research next time 😳
You need a better spin than that! Where was this energy last week? Keeping Havertz on, Eze off, when he was finally showing up? Rookie mistake or playing by the whim? Same old, same old.
Sometimes in football you simply don’t get what you deserve, and unfortunately today is one of those days for #Arsenal. It was a 50/50 game and Man City got lucky with a ball that fell to Haaland 🇳🇴 and #Arsenal got unlucky hitting the post twice with Eze 🏴 and Gabriel 🇧🇷. Honestly Kai Havertz 🇩🇪 could have/should have scored a hat trick as well 😭
Overall I am very proud of the boys today. They played to win and as gutted as I am to not leave Manchester with at least a point I genuinely believe that performance will stand us in good stead for the rest of this season 👊
Arteta was asked what he wants from the players, fans and himself against Sporting CP.
The pause before answering says it all…
“No fear. Pure fire. That's it. Meet the first one, pure fire. That's what I want to see on the players, on the people, on myself. That's it, go for it because the opportunity is unbelievable. We are in April, we have an incredible opportunity ahead of us. Let's confront it, let's go for it by really putting absolutely everything into it.”
Hey #Arsenal it's about time you turn into real men to make a stop to the mockeries. You owe it to yourself before the fans. No unnecessary huddles, just do it, be brave and roar
🚨 Patrice Evra on Arsenal getting knocked out of the FA Cup by Southampton and bottling two trophies this season:
“I told everyone five years ago that watching Arsenal is like watching Netflix, and you all cried. Well, here we are in a new season, and the script is exactly the same! You go to a Championship side like Southampton, you get bullied out of the FA Cup, and that makes two trophies bottled before May. And yet, the fans are still on my timeline saying 'trust the process'. What process? The process of disappointment? I used to call them my babies when I played, but even babies eventually learn how to walk. The problem isn't the manager, it's the delusional fans who celebrate winning a corner kick like they just won the Champions League. Cancel your subscription, the show is boring now.”
