@HuzzahHonzi @broadwaybabyto I can name more examples of this. It’s the nature vs nurture argument. For example, there are women who are genetically predisposed to getting breast cancer. Often they will get mastectomies to prevent it. Remember Angelina Jolie?

@HuzzahHonzi @broadwaybabyto Unfortunately, genetics often kills those who lead healthy lives. Thinking about an owner of a gym, gifted athlete who died this year at 43 from ovarian cancer. Cancer treatment is expensive! My husband dealt with colon cancer and his chemo pills were $3000 a month

@FrankC164 @Acyn Exactly! Insurance pre-ACA had everything health related be paid until your deductible, including preventative care. So no ACA and high deductibles mean people may skip preventative care. The kind of thing that catches polyps before they become cancer, for example

@ChrisMurphyCT What happens when people take that money & pay their rent with it, or buy a better car? There’s no guarantee that this money will even go towards medical care. I’m not saying people doing that are bad. I’m just saying it doesn’t necessarily cover what they want if it’s just cash

@SenBillCassidy I have paid for healthcare both with and without insurance. Insurance negotiates lower prices for members (like Costco). Buying healthcare without insurance means you pay full price (think convenience store prices)

I’d rather be part of a large group with negotiating power

@MarshaBlackburn @realDonaldTrump So are you saying we should not have the ability to buy health insurance, but rather need to pay for our healthcare directly with providers, but without the lower pre-negotiated rates insurance provides? I have done it both ways. Healthcare costs w/o ins pre-negotiation 4 higher

@dieworkwear Do you think synthetics had a role? I accidentally bought what I thought were 100% linen, and they were a 50/50 linen/synthetic blend. They are so much hotter!
