Playtesting begins in earnest with some shiny cards! I'm so excited about my new #tcg prototype, #hacker vs hacker dueling game! #boardgames
Thanks to @paperize_io and @thegamecrafter for making it so fast and easy to turn my spreadsheet into real cards!
@so_yuck @CraftyPlayers Check out the “Getting Started” guide on the documentation site: https://t.co/tLYC9ZDE71 it walks through the basics. You can always ping us here or, better yet, join the Discord and chat with other users (link in the help menu on the app.)
I finished "porting" one of my prototypes to a PNP version with @paperize_io. It took me some time to learn a few features, but the software works well. In fact, most of my time was spend doing digital archeology for the original files.

@onlinealchemist@p_gorigoitia @mightybedbug @BoardGameAcad@BoardGames4All@BoardgameNews Pretty much! Paperize is web-based, focused on speed from idea-to-tabletop, free (Patreon-supported), no ads, doesn’t spy on you or even collect any user data at all. Currently in beta, but already pretty powerful.
@testcoastgames @jackson_pope @VPlaytest Image export and Tabletop Simulator export are coming this year! We’ve got a big public launched planned for mid-year then these are next.
@testcoastgames @jackson_pope @VPlaytest So glad you’re having success with Paperize! Couple things: no Dropbox support yet! It uses Google Drive, but we’re working on that whole subsystem now. And a drag and drop template creator? Yes please! Adding that feature request.
@jackson_pope After a busy week of latest nights working on my day job, I get to create the latest prototype for my resource-drafting, dungeon crawl #boardgame tonight. Then to testing @VPlaytest tomorrow night. Thankfully I already have my encounter cards prepared in @paperize_io !
@BEngelstein @CraftyPlayers @ithayla Great to have you all! Sorry the link isn’t more obvious, we’re trying to get a couple of big things done before publicizing it more. Would love your feedback here or via Discord! (Huge and continued thanks to @CraftyPlayers for always supporting us on Twitter!)
@sedjtroll It does look different! A lot of great features have been added, of course that adds usability overhead as well. There’s an early doc site to help.
Just looked and don’t see your name in Discord anymore, oops. (Can always rejoin from the support menu inside Paperize.)
Paperize Alpha 7 released!

At a glance:
- more than 900 fonts now available via Google Fonts
- dynamically set shapes, colors, font sizes, and alignments from the spreadsheet with Magic Properties
- Documentation!
- built-in error reporting
This is SO cool. A Paperize patron and early adopter shows how he created a Sudoku-esque puzzle (using runes instead of numbers) for his D&D players in under 10 minutes: https://t.co/zGUpK1s7Cx Hope your players don’t see this before the next game!
