I got to visit St Pius today.

St. Pius I was the original bearer of the name Pius and served as Bishop of Rome around the years 140 to 154 A.D. He governed the early Church during a time of growth and vulnerability, likely under the emperors Antoninus Pius or Marcus Aurelius. Tradition holds that he may have been the brother of Hermas, the author of The Shepherd of Hermas, a popular early Christian text that emphasized repentance and was even considered scriptural by some in the early Church.

Though historical details about his life are sparse, he is remembered as a staunch defender of orthodoxy against early heresies such as Gnosticism and Montanism. He worked to preserve unity and doctrinal purity at a time when false teachings threatened to fracture the fragile Christian community. While some sources say he died a martyr, this is not definitively proven, though his veneration as a saint and martyr has persisted in the Church’s tradition.

Trump should respond by severing all ties to Israel. He won't but he should.

A way of saying, “You’re still here, and you still matter.” Love shown in small, personal, even hidden acts like sneaking in chocolates reflects the heart of Christ.

So one day, by God’s grace, you’ll sit with her again. But there will be no sickness, no hospice bed, no sneaking chocolates. Just joy, laughter, and Christ at the center, forever.

1) go to confession
2) go to mass and pray without ceasing
3) carry a trauma pouch in your car or bag, make sure you have and know how to use a tourniquet.
4) if you have a CCW, carry it
5) be mindful of your surroundings and avoid massive crowds.
6) have extra security at Mass
