Writer/musician/shortstop/artist & wisea**. Except for the last one, only in my head. #FBR Still trying to figure out Twitter. How many characters do I have lef
@MikeVacc Your columns are great; I especially like Sunday’s Open Mike. But now that they’ve put it under the dreaded Post Sports+, I suspect your readership will decrease. I hope it’s temporary, but I suspect it isn’t. Not your fault, I’m sure, but I’ll have a bit less pleasure each week.
@DougWahl1@1drcole Tfg is dumb enough to call, having not learned his lesson in 2020 that Kemp would be recording his calls. Having said that, “it’s being reported” is not just grammatically passive and vague, but also not a very convincing statement of something that actually happened.
@elonmusk Sooooo, I guess the Dems can count on tfg’s vote. Thanks!
Also, when someone says, “Just a statement of fact,” you can be sure the facts they are referring to were pulled right out of their arse. Sort of like when someone says, “to be honest,” you know they’re being anything but.
@thomaskaine5 @votolatino@LatinoNetworks@HispanicCaucus@HispanicFed@satxnews@news_HNNUSA@RepBarragan Latinos aren’t a monolithic voting block. Puerto Ricans, Dominicans, Mexicans, and, especially, Cubans, all vote differently from each other for different reasons. Cubans have helped turned FL red, and probably have kept ‘lil Marco Rubio in office. I don’t get it either.
@TheAuthorGuy No magats votes will change, because it’s a cult. A few more of them might get off the couch (not JD, of course) and actually vote, though. That’s the downside to Pres. Biden’s comments.
@PlainJane357@BeschlossDC@miamidecor Yup. Like calling the 1-800 computer repair helpline, and speaking to his Indian wife. Or saying you saw his Indian wife working in the convenience store, or working the register in the gas station on the corner.
@BeschlossDC JD, your wife was so helpful when I called the 1-800 computer repair helpline. She was so nice afterwards, saying “Tank you for calling tech support,” & giving me a recipe for naan. Then I went to the convenience store, & she was there, too. What a hard worker!
Offended yet, JD?
@MikeVacc It ain’t over until it’s over - Yogi
The only way to miraculously come back from being down 3 games to none is to be down 3 games to none - Yogi’s ghost, probably.
@JDVance You’re the one who compared tfg to Hitler, JD. You were ahead of your time. Everyone else is just agreeing with you. Take a break from licking tfg’s jackboots, and you’ll see you were right the first time.
@jazzraptor@FlindyD@notcapnamerica@Iran7070 Yeah, no. China will sell its $100 widgets elsewhere, & the US will either have a widget shortage, OR will make its own widgets which, since the US company has to pay far more in labor, materials, rents, insurance etc, will cost the consumer far more than if there were no tariffs
@FlindyD@notcapnamerica@Iran7070 You still argue with family members about tfg? You must have the patience of Job. Most of us have given up that ghost long ago, since as many have said, you can’t fix stupid.
@MrAnton_Ego @notcapnamerica You’re right: tariffs are meant to discourage US companies from importing from China. BUT, materials, labor, rents - & many other costs-are far greater in the US. These high expenses are passed on to the consumer, so the consumer still pays more than if there were no tariffs.
@notcapnamerica@JakeFos34558499 Good question. What’s the answer? (Spoiler Alert: Yes. Yes, they are. That’s how we got tfg in 2016, and why it’s possible we’ll get him again in 2024).
@kanekavi @CorrinaLeeB Puerto Ricans living in PR are US citizens. They can’t vote in US elections. Yet, if they move to a US state, they ARE eligible to vote (b/c they are, and have been since 1917, US citizens). Makes no sense. Ask your relatives & friends to vote blue, to end this unfair treatment.
