I grew up without a father.
I grew up with a mother who did things you wouldn’t believe were true.
I grew up in homes filled with abuse, rape, domestic violence, drugs, and poverty.
As a child, I spent nights on the streets, nights beaten and bruised, nights praying I wouldn’t wake up.

But there was one thing that kept me going — the hope that one day I’d have a child of my own and give them the childhood I never had.
I dreamt of it.

Now, after 9 years as a single father with no support, I can say that so far I’ve done that and today, I got to fulfill my own child’s dream — a trip to Disneyland.

This one’s special.

Never give up.
Better days are ahead.
