Last thing, I can't believe how many people are still picking Anora for picture?? Like, Anora doesn't win BP without actress, and with I'm StIll Here showing up up in picture I think the best actress race is Demi Moore vs Fernanda Torres. I don't see Anora happening.

Even as someone who thought Conclave was a lot weaker than people thought, that director snub still got me.

I'm thinking EP for BP and supp actress, Brutalist for director, Anora and Conclave for screenplay, ACU for actor, Substance for actress, and A Real Pain for supp actor.

After sitting in this for a sec, I think I have to pick EP for adapted screenplay instead of Conclave. EP needs director or screenplay for its win-package, and I don't think it gets director. RIP Conclave.

@postproctorism I wouldn't overthink it too much. A director can be a friend so long as they're a director first and they have good credentials. They just don't want you to put someone unqualified to speak on you as a professional.

@postproctorism It's got strong industry and international (European) backing. It did well at Tiff and Cannes and made the long list at Bafta 15 times last week, so its Globes performance isn't terribly surprising (sorry following the Oscar race is a special interest).
