@WeekendInvestng I think the Indian Govt is so mistaken. The Govt (and certain wealthy individuals) view Gold as an unproductive investment and unhealthy use of forex resources. In reality, in the hyper inflation that is inevitably coming, Gold will be a true store of wealth. Chinese are wiser.

The full speech is not the opposite of the clip. The clipped 'hisaab chukta' smear is easier to reject because it sounds like mere incitement. The full speech is more insidious because it sounds generous. It plants the same premise of eternal offense and victimhood in Ambedkar’s saintly halo. The speech says he was large-hearted, rose above revenge, and wrote without bitterness. That glow makes it harder to reject the real claim that revenge would have been natural and legitimate, so today’s reservations and the SC/ST Act rest on a perpetual debt owed to the reserved categories.

Once Ambedkar is cast as a saint, even his contempt for Hinduism and resentment-driven political decisions can be waved aside. They are absorbed into his canonical biography. His supposed lack of bitterness is not even the message. He was not free of it. That fiction is the closing move that keeps the victimhood claim alive and puts his bitter legacy beyond criticism.

Exposing Hipocrasy Of : Indian Express & Ritika Chopra

There is an interesting omission in today’s reporting on Election Commissioner Sukhbir Singh Sandhu.

The profile lays out his bureaucratic career in detail, Chief Secretary of Uttarakhand, NHAI Chairman, Secretary to the Lokpal, district postings, and more, but leaves out one particularly relevant chapter: his stint as Additional Secretary, Department of Higher Education, Government of India.

That omission is difficult to square with the available record. Official government and IIT records identify Sandhu as Additional Secretary (Technical Education), Department of Higher Education, including his role on IIT governing and finance bodies. PIB also records that he held the Higher Education post before becoming NHAI Chairman.

Now look at the reporter’s own professional background.

@RitikaChopra__ was previously the National Education Editor and Chief of the National Bureau, Government, at The Indian Express, with responsibility for reporting on government policy and education. Her profile specifically says she previously tracked the Education Ministry and now Election Commission.

And today, she is reporting extensively on Sandhu in his role as Election Commissioner.

So the question is not whether Sandhu worked in Higher Education. The documentary record establishes that.

The question is why a journalist whose professional beat specifically included the Education Ministry would leave that chapter out while presenting his background today.

As for any claim that Chopra deliberately cultivated Sandhu as a source, that would require evidence beyond the screenshots. But the omission itself is fair to question.

If the full history matters when assessing a public official, it should not become inconvenient when that history changes the context of today’s story.

Archaeology dropped a bombshell!

OCP Copper Hoard weapon revealed something explosive: it contains up to 30% iron and belongs to around 2000 BCE. 🔥🔥🔥🔥

In addition we have real iron smelting technology at Gufkal near Varanasi as early as 2000 BCE! Similar sites in similar period are there in Rajasthan & Kashmir.

This single finding overturns decades of textbook claims about when iron use began in India.

For years we were told that Indo Gangatic plains only entered the Iron Age around 1000 BCE and that all Vedic references to iron must be late.

But this darker, copper–iron alloyed weapon, different from the typical reddish hue of pure copper, fits astonishingly well with the metallurgical vocabulary of the later Vedic texts.

The Yajurveda and Atharvaveda repeatedly speak of Kṛṣṇa Ayas and Śyāma Ayas, terms meaning dark, blackened, or dusky metal.

Scholars struggled to explain these references under the old 1000 BCE Iron Age model, but the OCP weapon’s composition finally resolves the puzzle.

A copper–iron alloy with about 30% iron naturally produces a darker, harder metal, precisely matching the textual descriptions.

Even in Rāmāyaṇa and Mahābhārata, the weapons described as dark or blackened never aligned well with the narrative of a late-arriving Iron Age.

Now, with actual artefacts reflecting this alloy at 2000 BCE, the material record and the textual record are unmistakably aligned.

Ṛgveda, in contrast, mostly uses the simple term Ayas meaning “metal”, which in early contexts overwhelmingly refers to copper - Loha - or Lohita - the red metal.

This is exactly what one expects from a text whose composition ends before widespread copper–iron alloying, that is, by around 1900 BCE during the final phase of the Sarasvatī civilisation.

Later Vedic texts describing darker metals fit chronologically after 2000 BCE, while the Ṛgvedic use of generic Ayas fits a copper-dominant world.

This single discovery collapses the long-held assumption that iron in North India appears only after 1000 BCE.

With directly dated alloyed weapons from 2000 BCE, and with Vedic literature already distinguishing between reddish copper (Ayas) and darker copper–iron alloys (Kṛṣṇa Ayas, Śyāma Ayas), the entire colonial chronology begins to melt.

The archaeological record is now catching up with what the texts had always preserved.

A few years back when Lebanon was attacked by Israel, we were also running an Art of Living centre there at that time.

I asked my people to call up the volunteers and teachers and find out if everything is fine. When they called, the local people there were doing satsang. Everywhere, the place was being bombarded and these people were doing satsang.

They told me, ‘Oh Gurudev! We are very happy!’

I was worried about them and they were saying, ‘We are very happy’. Sometimes it feels that this is so unnatural. It cannot happen this way.

They were saying, ‘Gurudev, we are involved in seva and we are fearless even though we are being bombarded’.

Why? Because there is a faith that God is there.

I wanted to hear such things. One who keeps smiling in all circumstances, pleasant or unpleasant, has indeed achieved something in life. One shouldn’t cry on every small problem, or start killing people for trivial issues. Don’t lose hope. With hope and courage, bring about a peaceful revolution in life.

Life is a struggle, but this struggle is to help us rise higher.

Some people struggle and bring about destruction. Our struggle is to struggle with the struggle so that our nation rises.

Divine love and love for the nation are both the same. We can’t separate them.
