The Embassy of India in Kuwait participated in the 7th Asian Bazaar and Exhibition at Assima Mall, Kuwait, today.
A variety of Indian handicrafts under the One District One Product (ODOP) scheme, including papier-mâché and walnut wood items from Jammu & Kashmir, marble inlay, blue pottery and Tarkashi work from Rajasthan, Bastar or Dokra craft of Chhattisgarh, Bidriware from Karnataka were showcased.
India's traditional cultural heritage was also presented through vibrant and energetic performances of Kuchipudi and Punjabi folk dance.

Kuwait Celebrates International Day of Yoga 2026
The Embassy of India in Kuwait marked the 12th International Day of Yoga at the Boulevard Cricket Stadium today under the theme "Yoga for Healthy Ageing" as part of the 3-Day Yoga Festival in Kuwait on 19-21 June 2026.
A vibrant gathering of more than 2200 attendees including diplomats, government officials, community leaders, students, and yoga enthusiasts from across Kuwait participated in the mass yoga session.
The event was graced by H.E. Sheikha Shaikha Al Sabah, Padma Shri and President of the Kuwait Yoga Committee and Ms Nouf Marwaai, Padma Shri founder of the Arab Yoga Foundation in Saudi Arabia and President of the Asian Yogasana Sports Federation.
✨ Alongside the mass yoga session, visitors enjoyed the "Yoga in Focus" Photo Contest exhibition and a display of yoga-themed paintings.
The Embassy thanks all who joined us in celebrating health, harmony, and well-being through yoga.

3-Day Yoga Festival in Kuwait begins today
The ‘3-Day Yoga Festival’ in Kuwait, being held on 19–21 June 2026 to observe the 12th International Day of Yoga, got off to an enthusiastic start this morning with a yoga session organised by L&T Construction Kuwait.
More than 100 members of Larsen & Toubro Construction, India's largest construction organization and ranked among the world's top EPC contractors, took part in the guided yoga session.
Ambassador @ParamitaTrpathi appreciated the efforts of L&T in promoting health, fitness and well-being among its workforce.

Blood Donation Camp held in Kuwait
On the occasion of World Blood Donor Day, the Embassy of India in Kuwait in collaboration with the Blood Donors Kerala (BDK) and the Federation of Indian Doctors (FID) organised a Blood Donation Camp at Adan Hospital and Blood Bank today.
The Camp was inaugurated by Ambassador @ParamitaTrpathi and H.E. Sheikh Hamoud Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Governor of Al Ahmadi Governorate, who led by example by becoming the first donor of the Camp.
The Embassy thanks the overwhelming response from the Indian community, the donors, and the volunteers which reaffirmed the spirit of compassion, service, and India-Kuwait friendship.

International Day of Yoga 2026 in Kuwait: Curtain-Raiser events
In a first-of-its-kind initiative, the Embassy of India, Kuwait organized a curtain-raiser yoga session at the Gulf SPIC Labour Camp today in the lead-up to International Day of Yoga 2026.
The event holds special significance as Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi visited the camp during his historic visit to Kuwait in December 2024.
A large number of Indian nationals enthusiastically participated in the session, practicing the Common Yoga Protocol and reflecting the spirit of this year's theme, “Yoga for Healthy Ageing,” highlighting yoga’s role in promoting physical vitality, mental well-being, and a healthier quality of life across all age groups.
Ambassador @ParamitaTrpathi also handed over sports kits, including carrom boards, chess sets, and cricket and football equipment, and underscored the importance of health, fitness, and active lifestyles as integral elements of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision of #KheloIndia and #FitIndia.

Mango Festival held in Kuwait
An 11-day 'Indian Mango Festival' was held in Kuwait which ended today with a Mango Tasting Fiesta at the popular Avenues Mall in Kuwait.
The premium quality and rich diversity of India’s iconic “King of Fruits” were celebrated through fresh slices, mango lassi and other mouthwatering mango items which were enjoyed by visitors at the Mall.
A Mango Mania was held at participating restaurants on 1-3 June with specially curated selection of mango-based dishes showcasing the fruit’s versatility and culinary excellence.
As the world’s largest producer of mangoes, India is home to an extraordinary range of varieties known for their distinctive flavour, aroma, quality and nutritional value.

Ambassador @ParamitaTripathi visited the Indian nationals, who were injured during the attack on the Kuwait International Airport on 03 June 2026, at Jaber Hospital today.
Of the 13 Indian nationals admitted in various hospitals, all have been discharged except 4 who are still receiving treatment.
The Ambassador enquired about their well-being, and assured them of the Embassy’s full support and assistance. The Embassy is maintaining close contact and coordination with the hospital and the families of those injured.

Ambassador @ParamitaTrpathi visited the Central Mortuary of Kuwait today where the mortal remains of the Indian national who lost his life this morning during the attack on the Kuwait International Airport, were brought.
Ambassador met Brig. Abdulrahim Al-Awadhi, General Manager of the General Department of Criminal Evidence, to convey appreciation for prompt and sensitive support on the matter.
The Embassy is in touch with the family of the deceased Indian national and is coordinating with Kuwaiti authorities for expeditious transportation of mortal remains.
Ambassador also visited the Indian nationals who were injured in the attack on the Airport today and are being treated at various hospitals in Kuwait. She interacted with those injured and assured them of all possible assistance and close monitoring and follow-up by the Embassy with the hospitals and their families.
