Even fuel dealers are now openly warning customers that ethanol-blended petrol can attract water, contaminate fuel tanks, cause starting issues, and lead to vehicle performance problems.

So Indians are expected to pay premium prices for adulterated fuel and then take extra precautions to protect their own vehicles from the very fuel being sold to them.

If this is the government's idea of consumer welfare, it's a complete failure. Policies that burden millions of motorists while shifting all responsibility onto them will have political consequences. BJP is standing on the edge of defeat in 2029 if it continues to ignore public concerns over ethanol-blended fuel.

This news shocked me to the core....

The Fortuner is an extremely robust car. I have had the pleasure of driving it around for more than 5 years and never once did it falter or make me feel insecure.

Mine had a 3Ltr engine...but even at the current 2.8Ltr capacity it packs enough punch and power to take on theblong routes.

The only grouse I had was that it has a pretty uncomfortable rear seat and despite being a huge SUV it is more of a driver's car.

However, the road presence is awesome and so is the navigation.

Personally I liked the Endeavour better than the Fortuner as it provided more cabin space and a much more comfortable drive but Ford has closed shop here so Fortuner still rules the Premium SUV market (below the luxury ones).

Disclaimer: Burning a car that costs Rs. 50 lakhs is a shocking news. And one question I have to ask is: Regular wala model tha? Ya Legender?

Booked an AC service through Urban Company.

AC was working fine. Compressor was starting normally.

Technicians arrived and immediately claimed there was “no gas”. I told them it was working completely fine. I refused any gas refill and asked them to perform only the service.

After servicing, they cancelled/refunded the job from their end and asked me to pay ₹500 directly instead of the app payment.

I was alone at home with my young child and didn’t want an argument with two technicians inside my house, so I paid.

Now the compressor is not starting at all.

The service has been marked as refunded/cancelled, the refund hasn’t reached me yet, and my AC has stopped working immediately after the visit.

Urban Company:

Why was the service cancelled after work was already performed?
Why was I asked to pay cash separately?
Why is my AC not working after your technicians left?
Who is accountable for the damage?

I want an immediate investigation, technician audit, and resolution.

This has been an extremely disturbing experience and, at this point, I have lost all trust in the platform.

IMPORTANT: In this season of political splits and mergers, the Supreme Court’s questionable role has largely escaped scrutiny.
1) The SC is yet to deliver a final ruling on the Shiv Sena (UBT) appeal filed in January 2024 challenging the Maharashtra Assembly Speaker’s decision on the party split. That’s 30 months, four CJIs and counting.
2) The SC is also yet to rule on a petition filed by Goa Congress leader Girish Chodankar in March 2022 challenging a Bombay High Court order related to defections. More than four years have passed.

When the history of this period is written, the Supreme Court’s performance as a constitutional guardian must come under serious examination.🙏

Why is everything about ethanol so secretive?
If the government is so confident about ethanol as the future fuel, shouldn't it rather be educating the public with scientifically backed research reports?
Instead, it wants to hide the reports, naming it as "classified".
