walang problema if gusto nila ng liga buong taon. mas concerning pa nga yung mga injuries kasi wala halos pahinga at hindi rin ganoon kaganda ang S&C dito. ang hirap din kasi hindi inuuna yung welfare ng players.

to PVL’s credit, ginawa naman nila ‘to last year. kaso biglang kabig na club teams ang mag-decide sa pag-loan ng players sa NT? dapat i-require ng governing body na i-release yung NT players during NT season. i-penalize if hindi sumunod.

I think, about time to accept na never talaga ma-align ang volleyball calendar sa FIVB.

If you look at it closely, hindi pa ganon ka mature at stabilize yong volleyball scenes. Only 1% of the active PVL players ang may events/offers outside volleyball.

Meaning?
Mostly sa kanila mate-tengga if activities are halted during National Team (NT) season.

Implications?
Club teams (CT) ay papasahurin sila kahit walang ganap, so hindi siya sustainable for them. Milyones ang gastos nila ke may schedule ng laro or wala. And let’s be realistic, they cannot in perpetually shoulder those losses.

Workaround?
PVL to continue to hold schedule during NT season and CT to: 1. Cover the salary of the active players in their roster, 2. Cover the salaries of players loaned to NT.

Sino ang dapat sisihin?
The GOVERNMENT body. Kasi if they can commit na mapasahod nila ang NT athletes during training, season, preparation and off-season then these athletes cannot operate with better flexibility na di umaasa sa pasahod ng CT.

Short term solution: To continue to have CT season during NT season while athletes are loaned to NT.

Long term solution: Government to step-up at wag iasa sa CT ang financial burden ng NT.

The current set-up is frustrating, but thats the current optimal solution.
