Research shows that drawing concepts is a great way to learn - that's why learning visual approaches to numbers in math class -- not just equations -- can help students build stronger math skills! Thanks for this video, @edutopia!
Yes, our Turn the Page! children's book festival on Saturday, May 18, will go on, rain or shine. If it does rain, we will host the event in our completely-covered Aesop's Playhouse theater. We will also offer FREE admission to the event, although the park itself will be closed.
Also: There will be two performances of "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star," our Theatre for the Very Young, Saturday morning at 10 and 11. These shows take place in a cozy, rain-free space and are for kids 6 months to 4 years old. Tickets: https://t.co/M7zYMYGqOy

A1. Children who do not read much over the summer may lose up to three months of learning, and this loss is cumulative. Students must read over the summer! #makesummercount
