Netflix has bought InterPositive, a start-up founded by Ben Affleck that makes AI-powered tools for filmmakers.

Netflix just made the most DANGEROUS move in Hollywood.

They didn't buy Warner Bros but instead bought something far more threatening.

An AI company, built in secret and founded by one of Hollywood's own.

Ben Affleck.

The company is called InterPositive and you've never heard of it.

And that was the point.

Affleck quietly registered it under a shell company called Fin Bone LLC.

He filed patents under his legal name.

He built a proprietary AI dataset on a closed soundstage, all while making movies.

Here's what InterPositive does.

It takes the raw footage from a film shoot, the dailies and trains a custom AI model on it.

That model can then relight scenes, reframe shots, remove stunt wires, fix missing angles, color correct entire films and add visual effects.

Work that currently employs thousands of people in post production.

Netflix now owns all of it, exclusively and no other studio gets access.

Think about the timing.

One week ago, Netflix walked away from an $83 billion bid to buy Warner Bros.

Wall Street cheered and the stock jumped 14%.

Days later, they quietly acquired the technology that could make traditional studios obsolete.

They just bought Hollywood's replacement.

And they made Ben Affleck an Oscar winner, a director, a guy people trust, the face of it.

SAG-AFTRA's contract expires in June.

AI is the single biggest issue on the table and the last fight over AI shut Hollywood down for months in 2023.

And Netflix just acquired an AI production company, right before negotiations.

They're calling it tools for filmmakers and they say it empowers storytellers.

That's what they always say.

The real question, how many jobs disappear when a machine can do in seconds what a VFX team does in weeks?

Netflix won't answer that but the technology already did.

Zack Snyder says "go f*ck yourselves" if you think his fans are toxic and defends "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" as it turns 10 years old.

“My 100% honest reaction to ‘BvS’ and how it’s received in the world is… Do you really want a movie that’s had all the edges shaved off it by the focus groups?Do you really want a movie where the decisions have been made in a boardroom, or tested ideas have been rendered for your enjoyment? Do you really want the Kmart version of your story? Is that what you really want?"

"When we were trying for the PG-13 rating on ‘BvS,’ the MPAA kept kicking the movie back to us saying, ‘It’s still an R.’ I remember someone saying we got a report from the MPA saying, ‘We just don’t like the idea of Batman fighting Superman. That kind of makes it an R. He really hits him hard with that sink. That’s rude. That feels like an R.’ I’m just like, ‘Okay… let’s just pretend it’s not Batman vs. Superman for one second.' You realize then that we were kicking the zeitgeist in the nuts and that we were going to anger people,” Snyder continued. “Not only do they not want their heroes deconstructed, they don’t want their heroes battling each other on a road to deconstructing the why of their existence. Zack Snyder says "I would never say there is no way" when asked about making two more "Justice League" movies as originally planned.

“I was on the ride that created ‘Justice League,’ and if you were in my shoes there were numerous times, dark times, when there was no chance that there will ever be my version of it. It will never exist. It can’t… cost, politics, everything stood against. And yet it exists. The fans should never forget they did that. They also raised a ton of money for suicide prevention. At one point, there was serious consideration to release Zack Snyder's Justice League as a mini-series on HBO Max. It would have been split into 4 installments. Digital studio Yu and Co was hired to create this 'Mother Box Origins' sequence featuring Tom Waits' 'Time', which would have served as the intro for each 'episode.'
