[Notting Hill Carnival @NHCarnivalLDN]

At 3PM on both days, we will pause for 72 seconds of silence in honour of those who lost their lives in the Grenfell fire 💚, and in memory of Kelso Cochrane 💛

We ask all attendees to join us, stand with the community, and help us pay our respects.

🙏🏽💚💛

"Kelso Cochrane was an Antiguan carpenter, who was stabbed to death in a racially motivated attack by white youths on Southam Street, in Notting Hill, in May 1959.

His brutal murder contributed to establishment of Notting Hill Carnival"

History that won't be taught in schools.

[Jay - Hyphenated History UK @HyphenatedJay]

@Iaura__ @happyfatma3 There’s Pardna app!! It’s Black founded and run. Pardna/Partner is the Caribbean version of the same thing x https://t.co/8iWXTRrWKq

[Pardna App @pardna]

@Iaura__ We have many Millennials on our app, but our main goal is to introduce the practice to Gen Z! 🫡 And it all comes down to making sure you are only in groups with people you truly trust! 🙏🏾

[Pardna App @pardna]

@happyfatma3 @Iaura__ We may be biased 😉, but we think the practice is invaluable for our communities! And yes we have built an app for this very reason! ✊🏾
