What a gorgeous day teaching at Bradfield today and recording GCSE and A level compositions in the studio. Went from recording 3 part classical arrangements to belting out some MT in the space of half an hour. Never a dull day!
First choir rehearsal back at UCS tonight and I’m loving our summer programme of jazz and gospel music. So lovely to see a room full of children singing their hearts out after a long days work 😍
Finally relaxing after a busy Easter working with @nccgb . What a wonderful week of singing and so lovely to see students of mine from @UCSHampstead@BradfieldCol and @wycombeabbey making music together 🎵
You know it’s a UCS day when within the space of an hour you go from preparing soloists for Vaughan William’s Serenade to Music to improvising a 4 part harmony arrangement of I wanna Dance with Somebody with the female A capella group. Never a dull day 😂
What a week. Conducted over 150+ children in our UCS Carol service on Tuesday with 4 of our vocal ensembles participating. Finishing the week strong by adjudicating the Y7 Christmas song competition and feeling super festive 🎄
Congratulations to Anna on making it through to the Final of @BBCSoP Young Chorister of the Year! We’re delighted for her and will be cheering her on for the Final on 1st December! https://t.co/db1TaDzvQv

What a week! We have been in full swing Into the Woods rehearsals at UCS, all our choirs are back up and running including my Y7 and 8 boys choir of 92(!) children and started a wonderful new job. Now to finally enjoy a chilled weekend in my new home.
Lovely start to the morning with a full house of distinctions for my students who took Grade 8’s and ARSM’s this term despite being in the middle of GCSE’s and A levels. Feel very lucky to teach this bunch of stars 🌟
Busy Saturday rehearsing La Boheme this morning with Longborough and then sprinting off to Guildhall to watch my student win the GSMD Junior Vocal competition! Now for a glass of wine…
@claireknee We did 3 hours Claire and nearly missed our flight… I think it depends on who you are flying with and the time of your flight. If I were you I’d get there super early.
Absolute carnage trying to get through security at Birmingham airport…. Queues out of the airport door after an hour queue for bag drop…. Shocking considering half term is kicking off! #birminghamairport
@pippinpusscat Lucky them Cheryl. We got to the airport at 4.30 am and only just made it to board at 7.10. Had to be fast tracked through security in the end in order to make our flight but would have been at least another hour if that hadn’t happened!
