A resource and anonymous forum for #parents to explore and share our experiences, while navigating our own #MentalHealth challenges.

Many parents come from childhoods with #trauma and #ACEs, and that's passed along to their children, often unintentionally, and getting help is not easy (or accessible).
We have to have compassion and learn to be more #traumainformed before we judge.
Hello friends!
Saying a quick hello and sending 💕+💪 to all the #parents out there with their kids at home for #summerbreak

A big thank you to @CMHA_NTL on this #WorldMentalHealthDay for shining the light on the importance of mental health awareness and giving me the opportunity to speak about it!
Leanne Minichillo is from Toronto + is an active voice within the NCPLE. As #WorldMentalHealthDay (Oct. 10) approaches, Leanne reminds us that mental health + mental illness are not a choice - we should meet others with compassion. Hear more: https://t.co/8KKDJzlBtF
Politicians make promises but often fail to deliver.
#Liberals promised significant funding for #mentalhealth as part of last Fall's election campaign, but that money is MIA.

How a Conference violated their own stated principles by asking me to choose between paying them money to present my #livedexperience research or feeding my kid.
"I was not asking to be paid; I was asking to not have to pay."

Honoured to have had the opportunity to speak to this based upon my personal experience with accessing #mentalhealth care and the necessity to prioritize the #Liberals election-promised spending.

@GlobalNational “When we’re talking about campaign promises, people have to start to be accountable and held accountable for the things that they say — instead of worrying about their own image, once they make the promise, they have to follow through.”
...and that's what I had to say. LM
Happy #FathersDay to all the dads out there who are doing their best.
#Parenting is hard - take care of yourself & your health to be there for your family for many years to come.
Dads who may not be (as) present or able, everything - every word and gesture helps. Know that ❤️
. @DAWNRAFHCanada & @UofT are partnering for a study on #Disability and Reproductive Health during COVID-19 in Canada.
*This study includes women, trans, and non-binary people who identify or may be identified as having a disability.

Watched this and thought of @FreeRangeKids - the child in the cartoon seems so young, yet she's off to the store on her own.
I grew up like that.
Today, the thought of our kids doing this strikes fear in many (and they call the cops).

“Two in five reported waiting too long between booking an appointment and attending their visit, 38% reported having one or more of their appointments cancelled, rescheduled or delayed due to the pandemic, and 37% mentioned cost of care as a barrier to accessing needed services.”
"Accidental Death" is bullshit. This reminds me of the Robert Gentles death back in the 90s, where prison guards were NEVER held accountable for their violence and aggression, yet we can't even raise our voices without getting a charge.
