@chefsevenn Cooked with either a ham hock or bacon. We grew up on those. Must cook long enough for flavor like 2 or more hours. I know people are rolling their eyes. Soul food restaurant green beans are often canned.

@EchoesofWarYT William Dawes and Samuel Prescott were with Revere and continued on. A Dawes descendant lived in my town in Ohio. We have Dawes Aboretum which I've known about all of my life. I just learned the history in recent years.
