Theatre night last night @ChesterStoryhouse to see Craig Revel Horwood. We didn’t know what to expect but it was an entertaining evening of songs, tales & glamour. We all enjoyed our meal at Chez Jules beforehand. All in all, a good night out.

Our Craft & Chat group had a lovely trip to Abakhan Fabrics. The fabric shop was an Aladdin’s cave of a range of fabrics & we had each other to seek advice on colours & fabrics for our projects.
Then we hit the yarn shop!

Fab visit to the Shakespeare North playhouse by our ladies today for a tour around the theatre. At its heart is a traditional 470 seat timber framed Shakespearean theatre that’ll host a mix of vibrant new performances.

What a beautiful day for a walk! Nearly 4 miles through woodland, a canal and a village, Grappenhall is a lovely area local to us. A 3 metre high wooden sculpture, Wizard of the Woods was there to greet us as we finished the walk.

14 of us had a visit to Warrington Town Hall yesterday for an afternoon tea with the Mayor, Wendy Johnson. The delicious food was freshly made on site. There was also an interesting talk on a murder that took place in the 1850’s

We had an inspiring talk by Karin Snape, President @Penketh_WI who completed an epic walk from John o’Groats to Lands End dressed as a furry dog, fundraising for Guide Dogs for the Blind. Here with Arran, one of the puppies she raises.
