Universal Orlando announces limited-capacity, after-hours event for Epic Universe called Universal Nights. The event, set for Oct. 3 and Oct. 17, includes access to attractions, entertainment, characters and complimentary snacks. Tickets on sale Aug. 13 and start at $179.99.

Universal Orlando has announced a new nighttime show for Epic Universe. Universal Celestial Goodnight debuts July 7 and will feature dancing fountains, lights, music and a fireworks finale.

Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure at Islands of Adventure will no longer be part of Universal Express starting July 1. Universal Orlando says the change will allow it to "improve the flow of the experience for all of our Guests."

Venues and experiences within Lost Continent area of Islands of Adventure will permanently close in the coming months to make way for a new themed area, according to Universal Orlando. The closure will happpen in phases. Mythos Restaurant will also close in 2027.

The Epic Universe Preview Center at Universal CityWalk will close April 13 to make way for the return of the Universal Legacy Store. The store will open later this month with retro merchandise and photo ops inspired by E.T., Jaws, Back to the Future and Universal Monsters.

The updated animatronics coming to Frozen Ever After at EPCOT will debut in February, Disney has announced.

Volcano Bay will be closed Monday (Nov. 10) and Tuesday (Nov. 11) due to inclement weather, according to Universal.

The water park will also be closed Wednesday and Thursday, but those are previously scheduled seasonal closure dates.

Volcano Bay is expected to reopen Friday.

Disney World will update the Elsa, Anna and Kristoff animatronics in Frozen Ever After at EPCOT early next year. For the refresh, the animatronics will ditch the projection faces and get a look inspired by the figures featured at World of Frozen in Hong Kong Disneyland.
