Super excited about our #OBGYN residency application to be launched in 24-25! Thanks to all the collaborative work of our #MedEd community, we will be able to offer applicants state of the art application that is user friendly, mobile-first, and will allow program directors for holistic review. More importantly, we will be reducing the costs to applicants! Below is the timeline of implementation with programs. Soon, we will be releasing a similar timeline for applicants and advisors!
Please note:
1) OBGYN will still be using ERAS this coming cycle 23-24
2) OBGYN will still be using the @TheNRMP Matching service now and in the future with the new application
3) This does not affect couple's matching
4) This platform will provide valuable data and insight which will further support collaborative efforts
Check out a video preview of the application here https://t.co/cnHnu6m5eB

Dear house of medicine,
Happy (academic) new year.
Here’s your annual paycut.
This one will bring you to a total 23% decrease since that whole “pandemic” thing.
Love,
The US Government
PS: We have shortage of healthcare workers and deep health access issues in this country. Could you help with that? kthxbye.

@amyfaithho@MedicareGov ..can’t forget that CMS fee schedules confer soft guidance to state Medicaid programs, which paid 76% of what Medicare paid for services in 2019. Medicaid pays for ~42% of births in U.S. No wonder OB dept’s are closing...

Wise consumption is much more complicated than wise production. What five people produce, one person can easily consume..the question for each individual, for every nation is not how are we to produce, but how our products are to be consumed —JOHN RUSKIN ⚖️🧐

Same concepts extolled by mystics/yogis but repackaged for those who struggle to see through that lens. The most steadfast evidence-based thinkers must remember, Science is a belief system too–a useful one. The intuition of an organized mind can be an equally powerful microscope!
How much do hospitals receive from the government to train residents?
It depends. There are multiple funding streams and the formulae are complicated.
But here, a consulting firm did the math...
…and estimated that, in 2019, the average Medicare subsidy was $145,435/resident.
Be sure to prompt it with the specialty you are going for and traits or concepts you want to highlight. The more specific the parameters/Qs the more fine-tuned the feedback. Awesome use-case!!
🌬 Which state has the worst air quality? You’ll probably be really close! Air pollution causes ~100,000 premature deaths annually. Med students, do you remember why particle size matters? #AirQuality #PublicHealth #EnvironmentalHealth #RespiratoryHealth
