I just spent 5 hours as a Poll Observer for @vademocrats and every time a person who had never voted before came in one of the election officers yelled out, “We have a first time voter!!!” And everyone clapped. Democracy! #VOTE 👏🏼 🗳
Four years later…I still watched The West Wing tonight & cried a little. But I also hugged some of my favorite people tonight, without masks or worry. We’ve come so far and we can keep going with “a new way forward,” because “WE’RE NOT GOING BACK!” #KamalaHarris 🥥🌴
“Being involved in politics in any way is an act of hope.” Election Night four years ago: Team Boiler Room 2016. Tonight, I just watched Toby hug CJ on #TheWestWing & cried a little. Here’s to hoping that tomorrow is a good day so we can hug each other again. #MyElectionMoment
My fellow Democrats, I have decided not to accept the nomination and to focus all my energies on my duties as President for the remainder of my term. My very first decision as the party nominee in 2020 was to pick Kamala Harris as my Vice President. And it’s been the best decision I’ve made. Today I want to offer my full support and endorsement for Kamala to be the nominee of our party this year. Democrats — it’s time to come together and beat Trump. Let’s do this.
Not me getting emotionally invested in dogs I’ve never met halfway around the world 😭 Thanks for giving her lots of love and care in her last few days.
Valentina sadly left us tonight. She battled as hard as she could but in the end it was cancer in her lungs that got her. She was a very good girl who lived on the streets but knew the comfort of a couch and love for her last weeks on earth (1/3)
All the kids are back in school, and so I wrote about it - the magic of back to school season and the promise of public schools vs. the reality. If you dig it, please share! https://t.co/kOiSlfwMXf
@Dodgers So thanks to the 2022 Dodgers. It sure was fun while it lasted. Maybe next year it can just last a little longer. But in the meantime, “What will we do til Spring?”
It’s been 22 hrs since I sat in a hotel room in a foreign country & watched the best team in baseball, my team, lose spectacularly & end the season to a team we’d beat so many times this yr. There’s so much to be said, to analyze, to explain, but the truth is…I’m heartbroken 💔
@Dodgers I said this last year, and then the lockout didn’t end until the day after my birthday. Maybe 2023 will be our year. Until then, let’s figure out how to score with RISP & not change the strategy that got us to the postseason during the postseason. https://t.co/peAJesIDuT
