Water aerobics starts Monday. It will run Monday-Thursday for as long as we regularly get 5 or more participants. So come if you’re interested! The class is 7:30-8:15, and the pool will stay open until 8:30. It’s $4 a class, or you can get a punch pass for 12 classes for $40.
Any kid who can swim the length of the pool (even with breaks) is eligible to join swim team. As of yet we can’t offer our usual swim lessons due to distancing guidelines, but swim team is a way to keep learning and improving all summer. No need to compete unless you want to.
Movie night is tomorrow, and our yummy Lion King Combo is popcorn, a drink, and a choice of KING size Skittles or KING size M&Ms for only $3.00!!! Join us beginning at 6:30 pm; movie starts at 8:30.
Fun schedule change tomorrow (Friday)! General swim will close at 6pm to allow for swim lesson makeups, BUT we will reopen for a late night dip from 7:30-9:30 pm. Come join us under the stars.
We are going to try again to hold regularly scheduled programming the rest of today, weather permitting. If there is thunder, lightning, or we can’t see the bottom of the pool, we will need to cancel.
We are monitoring the weather. Some reports show rain clearing in time for this evening's programs. We will make the decision at 4:30pm today and will post here and also send a text alert. You can sign up for Parker Pool text alerts on Remind by texting @parkerswim to 81010.
Nueces County, along with the City of Corpus Christi and the Coastal Bend Friends of Aquatics were able to come together, finish repairs, and get the Parker Pool thriving again. https://t.co/xcZhspmTPx
"Nueces County Sheriff J.C. Hooper was a lifeguard at Park Pool in Flour Bluff more than 40 years ago.
The pool could've been just a distant memory but thanks to a lot of determined people its future is secure."
