We are very sad to hear of the death of our former Chair, Mark Astarita OBE. He was a relentless champion for our profession and his passion and achievements leave an indelible mark on our community. Our thoughts are with Mark’s family, friends and colleagues at this sad time.
I love these graphics. This would be a great way for non-profits to report on income and expenditure. Not least, it would be a simple way of standardising the information presented to donors. The interesting challenge would be to build a version for impact reporting too.
In 2008 recession, @CIOFtweets found 82% of donors still giving but 'a little less'. 8% made significant reductions in giving. A Barclays study found 50% of wealthier donors maintained giving. 25% increased and 25% decreased giving. BUT long-term stagnation followed #fundraising
@ZacCMusic Thank you. That was encouraging at the end of this week. Never seen so many people filming or taking photos of a busker at Waterloo either! I think a lot of people needed to hear you.
Following requests by women involved in the investigation, we wanted to share in full our previous apology and correction regarding our former CEO which was linked to in the report we shared with members yesterday. Read the report from August 2021 here: https://t.co/hqedCBZEBp
Today our Chair, Nadine Campbell, has sent a message to all members in response to an article in The Times on Saturday. You can read the full message here: https://t.co/rR3DZqhsXT
Spot on. Every one of our 200+ schools around London and Hertfordshire is seeing more children in food poverty. For many families, the answer to the question 'Heat or Eat?' is increasingly "NEITHER". @CaritasWestm supports schools, as families increasingly turn to them for help.
"I'm up for the fight"
Chef and campaigner Jamie Oliver tells @bbcnickrobinson he doesn't believe Liz Truss - like previous PMs - will put child health first. He thinks there is too much marketing of junk food and wants more children to get free school meals in England

Despite dyslexics harnessing the necessary skills needed for the future, research shows the education system isn’t designed for spotting & supporting dyslexic minds.
We're determined to change this.
Keep your eyes peeled on our socials this week to see what's in store! 👀
We developed this simple chart to show how people are making giving decisions in the cost of living crisis. But the fact is, it's how people have always made giving decisions. It's just the economic crisis has brought the need to show a donor is valued into sharp focus.
The changing of the seasons… Time to swap dark for clear lenses. Useful for cycling in London, protecting against stones (or bees) flicking up into your eyes!
