We are excited to announce the launch of our new #citizenscience research platform. If you love #pollinators and our #NationalParks we'll make a great team.
Plenty of ways to get involved. Check us out at: https://t.co/lWuxzKKLbI
The time has come! I am defending my PhD March 2nd at 9 AM MT. If you'd like to join virtually, send me a DM and I can provide the Zoom link! ๐ฅฐ @CSU_Ecology
Today the Xerces Society announced that 335,479 monarch butterflies were counted in the Western Monarch Thanksgiving Count last fall. What does it mean? Here is the abridged version.
๐จPaper alert!๐จ
Our new work out in @PNASNews "Recent and future declines of a historically widespread pollinator linked to climate, land cover, and pesticides"
The news is uh...not good, for Western Bumble Bee

Southern Dogface (Zerene cesonia) is a #butterfly of the southern half of U.S. (rare in places). Larval host plants are of the Pea familey (alfalfa and clovers). Has wingspan averaging 2.5". Flying year round in extreme southern areas, otherwise May - September.๐
Consider a donation to the Rocky Mountain Sustainability and Science Network (RMSSN). A great program doing pollinator research and sharing science with students from all over! https://t.co/7AbbavEO9C
Our crew member, @nicki_bees at #COP27! Several of our crew members attended this conference and had the opportunity to share this project and the importance of pollinators to people from all around the world! ๐ ๐ฆ
I had the opportunity last week to attend COP27 in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt. What an amazing glimpse into how climate change policy negotiations occur. Got to rep @parkpollinator as well in our Art Exhibit at the US Center. Long way to go in climate policy, but an important step.
Along with communicating our science through photography and art, we created an exhibit guide to bring in the story telling aspect of it all. Each piece has a short video with an explanation of the photo or artwork.
Are you an undergraduate student? Are you studying ecology or another related topic? Did you complete a field experience in 2022? We are looking for diverse voices to help shape a survey tool to measure ecological identity!
