Bright Idea: @ParkwaySchools is saving about $1.2 million in annual energy costs thanks to more than 200 energy efficiency projects completed through the BizSavers program. That's enough energy to power more than 1,100 homes for a full year!

Shenandoah Valley students working to save the bees🐝 by building a bee house and planting pollinator friendly 🌻plants!
Did you know Missouri is home to around 450 species of native bees🐝?

Working towards saving energy, students did home Energy Hog scavenger hunts, tackled energy "vampires" with power strips, and used the Home Energy Yardstick to score their home's energy use!

Students at Southwest Middle collected over 250 lbs of trash from their campus and nearby creek. Their efforts are paying off - this is the least amount of trash they've collected over the last four years! Many other students have worked to clean up litter in their neighborhoods.

We want to highlight how Parkway students and staff have strived to make everyday Earth Day this year through the Sustainable Schools Challenge!

Students from all over the district created upcycled bird feeders, nature prints, and removed invasive Bush Honeysuckle!
