Something about this crash doesn’t sit right
A Boeing 787 is one of the most advanced passenger aircraft in the world. It’s built to handle engine failures, weather, and even major system issues. Yet today, one crashed right after takeoff from Ahmedabad
What’s deeply unusual:
◾️The plane was in the air for less than a minute
◾️It reportedly didn’t climb beyond 600 feet
◾️The landing gear may not have retracted
◾️No clear distress call was received
◾️The aircraft was fully fuelled for a long-haul flight
◾️This is the first fatal crash of a 787 in commercial service
This isn’t how a modern plane is supposed to behave. Not a 787. Not under normal conditions
Something serious went wrong either with the aircraft itself, or with the checks before takeoff.
People lost their lives today. Families are waiting for answers. And the aviation system must respond with honesty, urgency, and care.

🧍♂️ Who is Ramesh Vishwaskumar?
•Age: 40
•Nationality: 🇬🇧 British citizen of Indian origin
•Seat: 11A (forward cabin, window seat)
•Was traveling with his brother, who is sadly still among the missing
💥 The Crash:
•Flight AI171, a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, took off from Ahmedabad en route to London Gatwick
•Reached only 625 feet before pilots issued a Mayday — “engine failure”
•Crashed into the BJ Medical College doctors’ hostel
•The aircraft broke apart and caught fire on impact
•Out of 252 people onboard, 251 were killed
🙏 How Did He Survive?
•According to initial reports, Ramesh was thrown clear or shielded from the main blast
•He described “a huge bang” seconds after takeoff, followed by fire and thick smoke
•He escaped through a tear in the fuselage, possibly before the full fire spread
•Emergency responders found him dazed, injured, but alive and conscious
🏥 Current Status:
•He is being treated at a hospital in Ahmedabad, under tight security
•Suffering from burns and shock, but conscious and stable
•Indian authorities, NTSB investigators, and Air India staff are expected to debrief him
•His eyewitness account could be vital to understanding what happened in those critical 30–40 seconds
🌍 Why This Is So Rare:
•Statistically, sole survivors of major air crashes are extremely rare:
•BA Flight 548 (1972) – 1 survivor
•Flight 255 (1987) – a 4-year-old girl survived
•Yemenia Flight 626 (2009) – one 12-year-old girl survived from 153
•Surviving a low-altitude, high-impact crash into a structure is almost unheard of
