Great to welcome the Rt. Hon. Penny Mordaunt MP, Leader of the House of Commons, along with North Devon MP Selaine Saxby, to Parracombe Pavilion Stores and Cafe yesterday. Really useful exchange on all our community projects - particularly the affordable housing and shop/cafe.
Delighted to be talking all things #PowerOfCommunity on Sunday 5 May at 7.30pm at the Village Hall.
We'll also be celebrating The Pavilion Stores and Cafe turning two! 🥳🎂

Great to re-visit the @ParracombeCT shop & cafe, a brilliant community run business in a rural idil providing a vital lifeline. Made a profit in its first year too 💪 ☕️🍰
Kate eloquently sums up here the desperate need for affordable social housing in rural areas.
We are facing a rural housing crisis which affects Parracombe and countless other villages across the country.
Sunday @KateNHF spoke to @BBCBreakfast about the #HousingCrisis in rural areas
We need a long-term plan for building more #SocialHousing, building the homes people need – where they need them – will both contribute to both the vitality of rural communities & boost the economy
