I am looking at getting back into book reviewing. Where are people publishing these days? I primarily reviewed for The Lambda Literary Review which is no longer active. Do I just get a substack?
I am not active on twitter as much as I used to be, but I wanted to share that I am open for work! My position at Lambda Literary was cut so I am looking for freelance and full time work, specifically in editorial, administration, and project management.

Maybe one day I will be able to talk about the complexities of my feelings about leaving my dream job in publishing for a nonprofit job that offered me a lot more money.
When we say "check on your (x identity) friends," we should be more specific. Just ask, how are you doing? Not "did you see what shitty piece of legislation just passed?" Maybe it's just me.
Thanks @parrishturner for taking the time to chat with me about the recent strike and solidarity across the writing world!
And congrats to @hcpunion for holding strong and reaching a contract!

How is asking for a livable wage that isn’t even actually a livable wage in NYC ungrateful behavior? Esp when the workload is endless. Ppl at the top have no idea how cost of living has shifted from when they started, and probably don’t acknowledge the privilege they had then.
