A busy day and night on Whenua Hou. This morning we flew adult #kakapo Weheruatanga-o-te-Po and three chicks off for tests for possible aspergillosis (a respiratory problem caused by a fungus). #kakapo2019 #conservation #parrots

We had a traveling vet visit our area today, and lots of people showed up! Dr. Scott MacDonald is an amazing vet and knows what he is doing! We appreciate what he does for us!

The dove walks fine now, the infection is cured, she also is starting to fly. This is a good recovery.
Today my friend who found her came to pick her up to continue with the rehab in her house now that she is stable.

Mandy went to the vet today and she has gained some good weight, going from 218 grams to 256 grams and about a month! And she no longer needs eye ointment daily! No more vet visits!! 💚

This is Mandy! She is an Alexandrine Parakeet, around 14 years old. She came to us as a rescue on 3-8-19. She was in rough shape, but with love, care, and a couple vet visits she's doing so well!! And yes, she's missing her left eye.
