Is it just trendy to call people pedophiles now?
Left: Rikku in Final Fantasy X (2001)
Canonically 15 years old, midriff-baring outfit, short shorts — classic JRPG fanservice.
Nobody lost their minds or screamed “pedo bait.”
Right: Evie in Stellar Blade: Blood Rain (just announced)
Clearly adult woman, athletic build.
Instant reaction from the usual activists: “pedo bait.”
Same audience. Similar stylized designs.
Only difference?
It’s suddenly fashionable to accuse anyone who likes attractive female characters of being a pedophile.
Why do these activists do this? Is it genuine concern… or just clout-chasing and a way to shame straight male fans?
What do you think?

@ptprotagonist@Willibab89 Do you mind explaining what "stepping stone" changes there were for Fire Emblem, Street Fighter and DMC?
Afaik those have never really changed the main gameplay which is what switching from Turn-Based to Action Combat is.
@aidensyko@mamitaffy It really isn't. This is some bullshit that's crept it's way into peoples heads this expac. I've never heard anyone spout that nonsense in Shadowbringers or Endwalker, most likely because it makes no sense.
@_rawrell Here! I hate it! Game looked sick until it showed that the Protag is a 15 y.o. looking girl instead of the sick looking dude with the metal lower jaw.🙂
@KzarNova@Brendzun The reason why UWU is alright and UMAD isn't is because noone wants to pronounce "double u" every time they talk about that fight, hence why UWU was alright. UMAD is literally just "for the lulz".
@GrraeYT Here is how I got 33 Super Wheelspins in under 60 minutes excluding the amount of hours it took to get all the needed skill points doing boring ass events simply made for skill point farming and afk grinding for credits, please stfu.
