Last weekend, through our @EUinTheGambia-funded STRONG project, we partnered with Sutukonding village in URR to celebrate the community's food and rituals festival—a platform that also contributed to strengthening returnees mental wellbeing.
IOM and gov’t partners trained 20 frontline law enforcement and border officials on MHPSS.
Supported through our @EUinTheGambia-funded STRONG, it aimed to strengthen capacities to deliver safe, humane and psychosocially informed support to returnees at arrival and beyond.

Last week, IOM trained staff, gov't officials and local authorities on participatory planning and integrating migration into local systems, aligning community needs with governance, resilience, and reintegration.

By strengthening coordination, elevating community voices and informing national action, these consultations mark an important step towards a more coordinated and compassionate response to the issue of #MissingMigrants in The Gambia.
Today in Basse, the @UNPeacebuilding Fund’s Gender Promotion Initiative (GPI 2.0), implemented by @UNFPATheGambia, officially handed over the Civil Society Organization (CSO) House — strengthening local ownership, women’s empowerment, and sustainable peacebuilding in The Gambia.
