"Bennett has long been viewed as a game manager instead of one of the elite quarterbacks in college football. After his spectacular start to the 2022 season, that perception is starting to change."

“I don't know how you can go into a conference playoff game when you're the No. 1 seed and did all these things throughout the year and playing in this game against one of the top teams in the country as well how that can… keep you out.”
DeBoer on Bama playoff hopes.
@KevinKeneely1 That’s up to Snitker. Personally, I don’t think Verdugo has done enough to be the everyday LF. Still think White has been the better hitter and until the wheels fall off he should be getting the ABs. But still think he’s more valuable than Stuart Fairchild or Luke Williams.
@KevinKeneely1 I’m not saying White is going to be the better player in the long term. I like Kelenic. But with how badly the offense is struggling, cutting a .270 hitter doesn’t make sense. Especially when Verdugo has been struggling as well.
@KevinKeneely1 Again you’re proving my point. I’m focused on production this season. Career stats don’t matter. Players end up having isolated great seasons all the time. Just look at what Profar did last year. Why cut White when he’s performing? Kelenic had his chance and blew it.
@KevinKeneely1 How is he worse than Kelenic? Sure he’s not a top draft pick but production wise White has been better. And Profar can’t play in the postseason so as far as I’m concerned he should be on the bench. No point in giving him ABs if he can’t play in October.
If Kirk Cousins was actually hurt, the falcons should keep him and let him battle for the starting qb spot. Penix was good but Kirk pre injury was a top 10 qb. Might as well give him the opportunity if we’re going to pay him.
The Mavs had major concerns about moving forward with Luka Doncic due to his constant conditioning issues and the looming commitment of another supermax contract extension this summer, sources told ESPN.
People are going to be complaining when Bama makes the playoffs but the real question is what argument does Texas have? What is there best win? They’re a two loss team with no ranked wins. At least Bama beat Georgia.
I love how they name drop Bama, UGA, Ole Miss and Tennessee as if they didn’t get blown out by the only team out of the four they played. Maybe that’s why people aren’t sold on Texas.
Texas beat a healthier and ranked Oklahoma 34-3… don’t forget. Texas popped Florida. Beat a ranked Vanderbilt. And has basically handled and defeated all these teams that are working Alabama, Georgia, Ole Miss, and Tennessee… but they’re bad right? @SECNetwork
