आरोप तो हैं ही कि केरल में PWD सचिव रहते हुए ज्ञानेश कुमार ने 17 करोड़ रुपये के एक प्रोजेक्ट में 2 करोड़ रुपये की रिश्वत मांगी थी और कंपनी का भुगतान रोक दिया था. इसी प्रकरण से जुड़े मलेशियाई इंजीनियर ली सी बीन ने आगे चलकर आत्महत्या कर ली थी.

ज्ञानेश कुमार सहित उनके परिवार के कई सदस्यों में नैतिक चरित्र का अभाव है. एक IAS अधिकारी में जिस गरिमा और नैतिकता की अपेक्षा होती है, उसका भी अभाव है. एक-एक करके इस व्यक्ति के कच्चे चिट्ठे खुल रहे हैं.

इसने देश के पूरे चुनावी तंत्र को तहस-नहस कर दिया है.

ये सब क्यों हो रहा है? चुनाव आयोग टाइम ले रहा है। कोर्ट के सामने बताने के लिए कि अब मसला ख़त्म हो गया, हमने सब ठीक कर लिया है। लेकिन समझने की बात यह है कि चुनाव आयोग अपने दफ्तर के भीतर की व्यवस्था ठीक की है। लेकिन जब कई राज्यों में SIR चल रहे थे तब यह व्यवस्था ठीक नहीं थी। उसका लाभ उठाकर SIR में जो धांधली हुई है, उसमें सुधार नहीं हुआ है। आयोग का अपने दफ्तर में पर्दे बदलवाने अलग बात है, वोटर लिस्ट से लोगों के नाम बदलवाना अलग बात है। यह किस पैमाने पर हुआ है, न तो देश जानता है और न इसे ठीक किया जा सकता है। इसकी सूचना आयोग ने खुद से नहीं दी कि उसने SIR से बने वोटर लिस्ट में क्या ठीक किया है। एक अवैध व्यवस्था से हुए SIR की वैधता पर सवाल अब भी है।
