xai figured out the right ai chat interface with @bot. not just for agentic tasks but regular chats as well. I don’t need to select a model, it’s figuring out how much to think, what actions to take etc. I send a message, attach context if needed, it knows when to reference memory, and when to ask for more info. @thdxr Nice to be a generalist, have a broader scope etc but I think we still need specialists. In a large team I wouldn’t trust a product owner to come up with an architecture for an app. Inverse is also true, an engineer can’t replace a good po
Do harnesses from ai labs have any competitive advantage over independent ones like pi, hermes etc? With models rapidly improving what factors influence picking one over the other

@Yuchenj_UW I agree on codex being the best agentic ui, but I find myself preferring cursor when I still want to look at the code and edit files manually
I was talking to a coworker about muse and the wave of ai “agents”. As fascinated as we both were we couldn’t think of a good use for these products in our personal lives. And I think that’s most people- most of us have no desire or need for an agent to be connected to all our apps and know everything about us and be running 24/7
@_robyn_smith Retweet. In my experience also choosing what passion/project to focus on ends up being a bigger mental effort than it should. Cal Newport did a fantastic podcast episode on how to approach this
