I am grateful for this class because it allowed me to place my thoughts online through twitter and I learned a lot about technology and it's disruptive impact on society. #DCIM353B. #thankU@RUProfMcCormick
This class has influenced me to think about the way I go about using the internet. After learning about horizontal and vertical surveillance, I am more aware and conscious about what I do on the internet now and sometimes do feel scared while surfing the web. #DCIM353b
@ally_cerini I agree with your point. If we just look back to high school and now, we can notice how dependent we have become on technology and this trend will only rise from this point on.
@BiancaDCIM Hey, advancement in technology may reshape learning and make learning easier. Do you think a time a time might come when we have computers at home teaching us everything a teacher can ("Homeschooling")?
@joanna_bavuso So, Computers and robots may get capabilities that the human brain has, but do you think it can "feel" what humans feel? Personally, I don't think thats possible.
Digital technology has predicted that one day we will have phones that are made of glass and it will have more advanced voice recognition technology and more features. #DCIM353B
@XuWeihan Concentration just doesn't necessarily have to mean you participate in classes. It can also means just putting your heart and mind to whatever task it is that you are currently trying to finish.
@lauraopachinski I really like the core value you mentioned. Growing, whether physically, mentally, or emotionally, is something that can never be stopped. Each day, we grow in some way and are a better version of ourself than we were the day before.
@Robert_Schenker I really like your core value here. I feel like everyone has some sort of adventurous side to their personality but they just don't show it.
For the second exam, its important to know the changes in digitazied information and its impacts, crowdsourcing, and the vertical & horizontal/social surveillance. #DCIM353B
Final mission statement: "I want to be part of a working team where my ideas and thoughts are accepted, and also where I can trust my team members to contribute to the goal, commit their time, and encourage when needed." #LIDCS18
Last but not least, the third care value that I identify myself with is trust. I feel that trust is utter most important in almost everyday life, in anything we do. From the bus ride to school till we come back home at night, we need to show trust to others. #LIDCS18
One of the core values that I valued for myself is commitment. I feel like commitment to anything we do, whether career related or not, requires strong commitment. Commitment can be considered as a "contract" to self to get something done. #LIDCS18
A time that I was engaged in presumption was when I had recitation online for a chemistry class freshman year and we had to interact with the TA through chat while they taught us through video chat. #DCIM353B
A piece of advice that I would like to give to students who use hashtags to communicate is to use multiple hashtags. Sometimes one hashtag isn't enough and its always beneficial to tag multiple hashtags in one post to get a wide range of audience. #TXC18
I have had the opportunity to learn a little more about my college campus and gain insight on myself after doing all the TXC tweet activities. I have also had the privilege to interact with students from different courses through the hashtag #TXC18. #DCIM353b
@joanna_bavuso Photography has always been a passion for me. I never really got to take pictures but it is a dream of mine to travel a lot and take amazing pictures of all the places I visit.
@vivianru2018 Women in Tech is an issue that has been long going on, and that's a topic I based one of my core research papers on for an ITI class at Rutgers. I hope you are able to encourage more women to pursue careers in the tech industry. #DCIM353B#TXC18
@aschelmety97 I used to write poetry in high school and I can definitely agree with you that it does help you clear your thoughts. It was also my way of putting down words that I couldn't speak through my own words. #DCIM353B#TXC18
