@Slant3D How long does it take to print out something 4 times the size of that small knob? 4x longer. 1M parts = 280 days. 2M parts 560 days. It takes 8-12 weeks to make a mold and make those 2M parts in a week. That's what scalabilty looks like

@noitsmazzie That is HVAC, but that's only the fan/evap half of the mini split system. Central air doesn't have those, they have ducts coming off a larger fan/evap unit. All splits have an exterior condensor/compressor unit. Packaged unit have ducts coming straight from the unit
