Ohio House just passed S.B.1 —forbids colleges from teaching historic events like slavery or Holocaust definitely did happen.

Mandates that students "reach their own conclusions about all controversial events."

"They say Nazis should be taught from 'both sides' which is insane and very fascist," said one of the college students protesting the bill.

The bill also prohibits universities from taking positions on a "controversial belief or policy."

Defined as climate policies, politics, foreign policy, DEI programs, immigration policy, marriage, abortion, or "any belief or policy that is the subject of political controversy."

Students marching the 3 miles from Ohio State University to the State Capital in protest said, "This would make us think long and hard before committing to stay in Ohio."

If you think we're gonna fix this mess we're in by obliterating international aid or cutting off funding for science and medical research (prob the best bang for our buck we get) I literally don't know what to tell you.
