Singapore 🇸🇬 registered 168 Teslas (27 M3s, 141 MYs) in Apr 2026. A significant underperform -73% MoM following a record Mar but still the best Apr historically
The standout moment was delivering the 10,000th Tesla since entering the market in 2021. In a tightly regulated market with high costs, it's a milestone that is of significance underscoring Tesla’s strong growth in the world's most expensive country to own a car
The prediction that the BEV market will eventually be dominated by Tesla + Chinese EVs, followed by everyone else is playing out in Singapore's market. This month saw GAC and Chery joining BYD in top 3, displacing Tesla from 2nd to 4th. 8 out of the top 10 in Apr sales were all Chinese EVs
BEV adoption has seen an explosive growth within a matter of six months. From lagging in Oct-25, to on par in Nov-25, to now 2x of ICE sales (2,982 BEV vs 1,571 ICE) in Apr-26, the trend is here to stay

Look towards your Australia counterparts @LTA They deployed EV charging in strata/apartment carparks akin to HDB carparks at a massive scale
- 241 parking lots equipped with 241 charge points
- Uses existing electrical infra
How do they do it? Use Type 1 slow ass chargers. Everyone gets to charge. Everyone's sleeping while their EV recovers a small %. Everyone's happy
Fast charging is overrated

Model S & X changed automotive history forever by proving that an EV could be the best car possible – of any kind.
By inspiring other automakers to believe in EVs, they pushed the industry from 50k cars total in 2011 to 21 million sold per year.
Many automotive firsts:
Model S – first EV to achieve a 400-mile range, first production car to do 0-60 in <2 seconds & first production sedan to run a 9.23 second quarter mile.
It was also the first vehicle with a roof so strong that it broke NHTSA's testing machine.
Model X – quickest production SUV & the first to not roll over in regulatory tests.
Model S & X also initiated real-world AI!
We never stopped refining either vehicle. Both have 40% fewer parts today & share only 3% of parts with their original version. 60 years of evolution (by conventional car development standards) squeezed into 14 years!
750,000 Model S & X built.
Your support – from our earliest days to now – made Tesla into what it is today.
Thank you to each of our owners ❤️
To protect passengers or cargo, the powered rear seats & trunk in Model Y will automatically pop back up if detecting an obstruction while folding.

Tesla Singapore had a record Q1, selling 617 vehicles in Mar to land at 1,515 for the quarter. An incredible 3.7x growth compared to Q1 2025 when it sold 413. There are now 10,156 Teslas in Singapore!
A partnership with Frasers saw Tesla roadshows in multiple malls across the island as the team leaned heavily into experiential marketing. Mall shoppers were treated to family fun (Junior Driving School) and product teases (Model Y L) to boost visibility and test-drive bookings. The Junior Driving School generated strong social media traction with cute visuals of kids “driving” mini Teslas, positioning the brand as fun and eco-conscious for the next generation, while the Model Y L was a treat for fans wanting to experience the new 2+2+2 variant
March's oil price surge drove Singapore petrol prices above S$3.40/l, sparking a 15-20% rise in EV listing traffic and heightened showroom interest. I'm cautiously optimistic that this trend will grow and translate into meaningful sales, despite experts claiming the opposite. Looking forward to reporting the Apr data!
