Old people are killing London's night life.

London has been hollowing out socially for years as Zone 1 has become prohibitively expensive for the under 60s. No-one wants to go clubbing till 2am if you have to sit for 90 minutes on a night bus.

Meanwhile the over 60s are moving in. Flush with cash from downsizing, kids grown up, and looking for a couple of decades of fun in town.

They very quickly decide that it's handy to be centrally located, but actually there is rather too much life after all. So they are shutting it down.

If we don't build a lot more housing in Central London, it'll become a giant retirement home.
