Nice to see that cis-regulatory DNA sequence gets the attention it deserves. As @JD_Buenrostro puts it “Arguably, it’s the most important problem in biology.” We need to support both experimental and computational progress!
Maybe someone out there will appreciate this.. creating Conda environments have been rewarding. Maybe (maybe!) I would finally be able to get back to my analysis. It has been two weeks of back and forth troubleshooting! Great learning experience but NO more hiccups please!
For past few days, I have spent several hours straight every day on Teams call with my Research Computing Support Group troubleshooting simple dependencies and missing compilers!
Single cell data analysis package developers: a humble request to emphasize proper documentation of versions and ALL the dependencies because 1) we are/were molecular biologists, 2) we use University’s HPC clusters for analysis, 3) we struggle with various R and Rstudio versions!
Today I know I have kept alive the scientific discussions at home because it was my husband ( a Non Scientist) who texted me about CRISPR Nobel Prize update and said “is it not what you guys also do in your lab ?” Women and Nobel Prize 2020 is making October 2020 better! ❤️❤️
You know you have worked on slides and figures for more time than required when every sign on road while driving reminds you of fonts and font sizes! 😳😳😳
Under normal circumstances I might have not posted this, but I desperately wanted to reach out as my heart has not stopped grieving! If someone is reading this, I want to let him/her know that we are working tirelessly raising awareness about human dignity and world peace!
A gorgeous quiet sunny Sunday afternoon, enjoying reading some super exciting papers and analyzing my single cell data with husband snoring in the background! Since when working over weekends became so peaceful and fun? #SingleCell#peace#blissful#sunnyday 😊😊
Virtual Conferences are a great way to bring people across the world together to discuss beautiful exciting science. Taking a moment here to thank all the speakers! Great agenda for today’s “Next Generation Human Disease Models in Neuroscience” #SfN#SfNVirtual
Transitioning from tSNE to UMAP! Interesting! Better? I think so! Still learning to like it! Atleast happy to be able to call ‘umap-learn’ from Seurat! #Clustering#SingleCell#Seurat
When you are impatient and excited to see how your new data looks like, you keep missing an additional space in your code and have to spend straight 5 hours troubleshooting it, only to realize at the end that it was an extra space!!! Duh!! Lesson learnt! #Patience#10xGenomics
