আজ বিকেল ৪টার সময় নরসিংদী জেলার মাধবদী পুলিশ স্টেশনের কর্মকর্তারা কোনরকম কাগজ নেই এমন একটি মোটর সাইকেল আটক করে থানায় নিয়ে যান। থানায় পৌঁছনোর কিছু সময় পরই ওই থানা হামলা করেছে স্থানীয় যুবদল এবং শ্রমিকদল নেতাকর্মীরা।

বিশ্বস্ত গোয়েন্দা সূত্রে জানা গেছে ���ে, আটককৃত মোটরসাইকেলটি অবৈধ কার্যকলাপে ব্যবহ্নত হতে পারে সন্দেহ করে থানায় এনে রাখার কিছুক্ষনের মধ্যেই, ধারালো অস্ত্রসহ মাধবদী পুলিশ থানা আক্রমণ করে শ্রমিকদল ও যুবদলের কিছু নেতাকর্মী, এতে নেতৃত্বদেন মাধবদী থানা শ্রমিক দলের সাধারণ সম্পাদক আনিছুর রহমান আশিক, নুরুলাপুর ইউনিয়ন যুবদলের সভাপতি ইয়ামিন, নুরুলাপুর ইউনিয়ন সেচ্ছাসেবক দলের সভাপতি কাম��ুল। রফিক (হলুদ টিশার্ট) ও শান্ত (লাল টিশার্ট) উভয়ই যুবদল কর্মী।

তারা যাওয়ার সময় স্টেশনের সামনে রাখা পুলিশের গাড়ির বনেটে বেশ কিছু কোপ দেয়, গাড়ির সীট কেটে ফেলে।

On Sunday, December 8, at 3:30 pm, Honorable Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dr. Shafiqur Rahman paid a courtesy call on British High Commissioner to Bangladesh H.E. Ms. Sarah Cooke at her residence in Dhaka. The British High Commissioner was accompanied by Mr. Tim Duckett, Political Counsellor/Head, Governance and Political Team, in British High Commission.

The meeting was held in a very cordial atmosphere. During the meeting, it was hoped that the development, progress and bilateral relations between Bangladesh and the United Kingdom will be strengthened further in the future.

The Jamaat Ameer was accompanied by party's Nayeb-e-Ameer and former lawmaker Dr. Syed Abdullah Muhammad Taher, Secretary General and former MP Professor Mia Golam Porwar, Assistant Secretary General Advocate Ehsanul Mahboob Zubair and Professor Dr. Mahmudul Hasan Chowdhury.

A Bangladeshi youth named Anwar Hossain (40) was killed in firing by the #Indian Border Security Force (#BSF) on the Panchagarh border.

The incident took place early this morning in the area between Sub Pillars 8 and 9 of Main Pillar 751 of Mominpara in Panchagarh Sadar Upazila under the jurisdiction of the 56th BGB Battalion in Nilphamari and the Indian border at Shingpara.
